To be the leading regulatory and examining body for technical education in South Asia, recognized for innovation, transparency, and curricula aligned with emerging global green and technology trends.

History & Background

Established under the Punjab Board of Technical Education Act, LBTE has been the cornerstone of technical and vocational training in the region for over two decades.

The Board has grown from standardizing technical examinations to encompassing curriculum development, institute affiliation, and international accreditations.

Recognizing the shifting global landscape, LBTE recently launched comprehensive initiatives in IT computing and Green Skills.

Our Journey

1998

Established under the Punjab Board of Technical Education Act as the primary regulatory authority.

2005

Expanded mandate to include curriculum development, institute affiliation, and international accreditations.

2015

Launched nationwide digital examination infrastructure, replacing paper-based assessments.

2022

Introduced the Green Skills Initiative aligned with Pakistan's National Clean Green Pakistan Strategy.
